Tony Coffey is VP of Global Operations. He leads the team responsible for sales operations, sales support, business process design and VCE strategic planning. Coffey and VCE are working to deliver next generation converged infrastructure to transform the economics, agility and profitability of enterprises and service providers as they transition to cloud-enabled business models. VCE is a joint venture between Cisco and EMC with investments from VMware and Intel.
Prior to VCE, Coffey worked for five years at Cerberus Capital, a global Private Equity firm. As the Lead Operations Executive at Cerberus, Tony was responsible for leading operational planning and due diligence on potential targets. He led more than 30 due diligences, primarily in the technology services and health care industries, which resulted in more than $1 billion of investment.
Prior to Cerberus, Coffey worked for eight years at EMC Corporation. In his last role at EMC, Coffey was the Sr. Director of Corporate Development, where he led operational due diligence and acquisition integration. At EMC, he also held leadership positions in OEM sales, Strategic Planning and Channels. Before joining EMC, Coffey worked as a consultant at Booz-Allen Hamilton.
Coffey earned his M.B.A. from the University of Chicago, Booth School of Business, and his engineering degree from Purdue University.
